The job role – what will I be doing day to day?
You will carry out the initial triage of inbound calls and emails to helpdesk support desk and you will carry out call logging and 1st line diagnosis and/or fix of the issue. This will include both IT and Telecom faults covering desktop support and ISDN / Analogue line fault testing.
You will be taught all the technical and customer facing skills needed for this role during your apprenticeship lessons. The great thing about an apprenticeship of this kind is that you are able to put what you are learning straight in to practice!

Who will I work with?
You will work in a team of four covering inbound calls and logging of support queries. This will also include the initial diagnosis of issue to ascertain if this is an actual call to escalate to 2nd line or something the 1st line team can fix. You will also have a mentor available throughout your apprenticeship who will assist with your learning as well as a tutor to guide you through your learning and deliver teaching via online classes!
We would look to offer our apprentice full time, permanent employment after the apprenticeship training. This would be subject to being able to fulfil the role and completing the apprenticeship to a high standard. There is the potential to expand into a technical IT or Telecoms role within the company.
