Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
As an Accounts Administration Apprentice you’ll learn on the job and start putting theory in to practice straight away.
We can promise that you’ll be supported throughout your apprenticeship and that there will never be a dull moment!
Typical daily duties include:
Opening and distributing the post
updating clients on their progress
handling email enquiries
performing bank statement reviews
checking and preparing letters to HMRC
The working week will be Monday to Friday.
Requirements and prospects
You will need to be good with numbers and have excellent IT skills.
To complete the apprenticeship you will need to be keen to learn, enthusiastic about starting a career in Accounts and open to taking advice from experienced members of staff.
You will need strong GCSE grades in Maths & English
Progress as far as you wish!
Things to consider
The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70 an hour from the 1st of April 2018. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24, and £7.83 for those over 25.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Level 2 Diploma in Business and Administration
Functional Skills in English, Maths, and ICT
Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
All training will be delivered in the work place with no requirement for day release to college. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.
