An exciting opportunity has arisen for a level 3 accounts assistant in Watford. This position would suit a candidate who is very passionate about learning and gaining as much experience as possible.
Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Total hours per week: 37.50

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Book-keeping for clients.
Help clients administer their businesses.
Assist with workflow in producing accounts, VAT and other statutory submissions.
Coding of invoices for processing into the purchase and general ledgers.
Office administrative tasks.
Liaison with vendors to resolve issues or discrepancies in invoices.
Analyse receipts sent in by clients.
Typing, filing and answering the telephone.
Posting items onto sage.
Requirements and prospects
Good communication skills.
Effective customer service.
Good at multi tasking.
Good with numbers.
Willingness to learn.
A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents).
Progression onto the Level 4 AAT.

The Assistant Accountant apprenticeship programme is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). It combines outstanding classroom training, dedicated workplace mentorship and on-the-job experience to build the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to become a highly competent accounting professional.
The apprenticeship will include:
AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping.
SAGE Level 2 Computerised Accounts.
AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting AQ 2016.
6 mandatory units including:
Final accounts preparation.
Management accounting: Costing.
Ethics for accountants.
Spreadsheets for accounting.
Training and Assessment:
Throughout the apprenticeship you will be required to attend your local Accountancy Academy for various training sessions.
Your dedicated Assessor will visit you in the workplace every 8-12 weeks.
You will be invited to 3aaa Masterclasses presented by industry experts to enrich your learning experience.
During your apprenticeship programme, there will be 7 examinations throughout:
x2 Level 2 Bookkeeping.
x1 Level 2 Sage.
x4 Level 3 Diploma.
The remainder of your training will be completed within the workplace.
