Detailed Job Description
While working with Wessex Motors and alongside Paragon Skills, you will be actively working towards gaining your Level 3 certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
Your day to day duties will include, but are not limited to;
Servicing and repair of a variety of motor vehicles.
Assisting other members of the team within the garage.
Helping to maintain the cleanliness within the garage.
Speak with customers regarding their vehicles, if required.
Fitting and changing tyres.
Restoration work on older vehicles.
Possibility to undertake some body/ paint work.
Shadowing MOT testers.
The working week is Monday to Friday, consisting of 36 hours per week. There could also be the possibility to work some Saturdays if you wish.
Requirements and Prospects
GCSEs A*-C in Math and English are required for this role.
Good time management

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you could be offered a full time position with the garage and given the opportunity for further training and development.

All training will be delivered by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.
The current Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW) is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
