Detailed Job Description
As an apprentice you will be expected to support and assist other members of the team in the completion of their duties while learning valuable skills.
Your day to day duties will include, but are not limited to:
Processing incoming & outgoing post
Monitoring stationary supplies & raising orders when stocks need replenishing
Monitoring company refreshments, ensuring supplies remain stocked.
Maintaining company mobile phone contracts and coordinating repairs
Arranging internal & external meetings
Arranging travel bookings for staff
Greeting visitors and dealing with enquiries over the phone
Your working week will run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm with one hour for lunch. You will also work 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8.30am to 12.30pm) for which you will accrue time to take off in lieu.
Requirements and Prospects
There are no qualifications required as full training is given throughout the apprenticeship.
You must be able to prioritise tasks given to you and have good organisation skills.
We are looking for someone who is outgoing, enthusiastic, reliable and approachable. You will also need to be hardworking with a desire for progression.
There may be an opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 apprenticeship upon successful completion of the Level 2. There may also be an opportunity to progress into other facets within A-One Insurance Group, learning while you earn.

With this apprenticeship you will complete the following qualifications:
Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration
Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT
Employment Rights and Responsibilities
Personal Learning & Thinking Skills
All training will be delivered in the work place with no requirement for day release to college. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.
The current Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW) is £3.70 an hour. This applies to 16 – 18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of the apprenticeship. For all other apprentices, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) appropriate to their age applies. ANMW applies to time spent on the job and time spent training.
