Apprentice Administrator (Events Delivery)
Barnsdale Lodge are looking for an Apprentice Administrator to join their experienced team. You will be supporting communication across all departments, a key point of contact for guests and complete the administrative aspect of the role.
Duties Include:To support with Administration and set up/delivery of banqueting and conferences and support with managing all aspects of the day to day business
To develop into being a key point of contact during weddings and functions; directing and supervising F&B staff during the shift with support from the Duty Manager
To carry out the administration element of the role related to supporting functions and conferences
To develop into selling our wedding packages and showing potential guests around the hotel
Welcoming guests to the function/conference
Ensure seamless delivery of attentive food and beverage service throughout the function/service
To develop into being a key presence and host within the business
Ensuring own personal development through the Barnsdale training portal
Supporting communication and collaboration across all departments
The qualification is a Modern Apprenticeship in Administration; focusing on the optional units to support events management.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training, this will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English. They will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.

Good customer service skills, charismatic and engaging, flexible and resilient, excellent organisation and planning, professional, confident and resilient, good eye for detail. IT skill – Word/Excel/E-mail
Confident with good communication skills, organised and good at planning with a good eye for detail. Able to follow advise and instructions.
GCSE Maths and GCSE English level C and above. Full training is to be provided.
The candidate ideally would need to have their own transport due to the location and also due to the hours/role. Hospitality can sometimes mean working long shifts and we are not always able to give an accurate finish time due to the need to be there to support/run an event. This role will involve working weekends.
