Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
As an apprentice at Damfield Gardens Care Home, you will be required to provide the upmost standard of care to the patients.
Your daily duties will include:
Assisting at meal times
General housekeeping duties as and when required.
Contributing to health and social care within the setting
Handling information in the health and social care setting.
Understand the role of communication and interaction with individuals
Supporting residents with day to day activities.
Supporting with day trips
Adhering to all health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements and prospects
Works well in a team or independently
Good customer service skills.
Team working skills.
Positive can do attitude
Approachable and friendly.
Passionate about starting a career in Health and Social Care.
No formal qualifications are required for this role, although c/4 grade GCSE’s in Maths and English would be a distinct advantage.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship programme you may be offered the opportunity to progress within the company.
This could include;
The opportunity of a permanent position within the business.
The opportunity to progress on to an Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship programme with Interserve Learning and Employment.

About the employer
A brand new purpose-built care home will open its doors in May next year, creating up to 60 full and part-time jobs. Damfield Park care home aims to provide five star luxury care for the elderly, serving the needs of the community in and around Maghull. Owned and managed by Highpoint Care – which also runs a care home in Haydock – the development is being built as part of a new 11acre ‘care village’ site, which will bring a variety of health and educational resources, in addition to lodges and apartments to the area. Set within tranquil landscaped gardens, Damfield Park is being developed from the ground up and will house top of the range care equipment. This will ensure the home can service the community for the foreseeable future. In addition to the 44 beds, there will also be a hairdressing salon and specialist dementia friendly areas within the home.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Damfield Gardens Care Home will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete an Adult Care Worker apprenticeship programme delivered through Damfield Gardens Care Home’s dedicated training provider, Interserve Learning & Employment.
