Advanced Level Apprenticeship
As an apprentice at Autumn Lodge Care Home, your roles and responsibilities will include:
Handle personal information within the health and social care setting
Principles of supporting an individual to maintain personal hygiene
Principles of infection control and prevention within a care setting.
Supporting residents with day to day activities.
Assisting at meal times.
Cleaning duties as and when required within the home.
Knowledge of Dementia and Alzheimers. (training will be given)
Requirements and prospects
Good time keeping skills.
Works well within a team and independently
Able to understand and communicate effectively.
Passionate about a career with the care sector.
Friendly and willing to help and support others.
Positive can do attitude.
No formal qualifications required for this role, although C/4 grade GCSE’s in Maths and English or above would be a distinct advantage.
Previous Health and Social Care qualification.
Previous experience in Health and Social Care.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship programme you may be offered the opportunity to progress within the company.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Autumn Lodge Care Home will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete an Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship programme delivered through Autumn Lodge Care Home’s dedicated training provider, Interserve Learning & Employment.
