To assist the IT & IS Manager in maintaining and developing information technology at D&AD to ensure it meets the needs of the organisation and its staff.

General day to day technical support.
Proactive maintenance of the IT systems and associated networks.
Installation and set up of new IT systems.
General day to day technical support:
Troubleshooting a network of around 60 Apple Mac computers running macOS.
Basic printing and photocopier support.
Assist with desk side support for applications, such as Microsoft Office, Keynote, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet browsers.
To assist the IT & IS Manager in maintaining acceptable levels of service.
Liaising with external support contractors if necessary.
Proactive maintenance of the IT systems and associated networks:
To ensure that all computers are fully up to date with the latest software, security patches and virus protection.
Installation of new software.
To assist the IT & IS Manager in delivering IT within the organisation which will underpin D&AD’s strategic plans.
Installation and setup of new IT systems:
Installation of macOS on new and existing computers.
Assist the IT & IS Manager in setup, support and take-down of IT at company events (specifically several days at D&AD’s Festival event – Usually Mid April).
Working with users to ensure a smooth transition to new IT systems.
Ad-hoc training of staff where required.
Liaising with third party digital & technology suppliers when required.
Has knowledge, skills and abilities associated with problem identification and resolution.
Provide technical support for desktop issues.
Maintaining and assisting users with IT in meeting rooms and A/V equipment.
Skills/Experience required for the job:
A basic knowledge of supporting users in a predominantly macOS network.
A basic understanding of Wi-FI and network technologies
Knowledge of Microsoft Office for Mac, Keynote, Adobe Acrobat, Internet browsers and G-Suite (Gmail).
Efficient organisation and administrative abilities
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to respond to internal requests in an efficient and professional manner.
Some knowledge of the advertising and design industry would be an advantage.
Ability to work consistently to a high standard.
Good at analysing technical problems and generating solutions.
Proactive rather than reactive.
Ability to estimate and manage time.
Good at communicating with internal staff.
Have a keen attention to detail.
Able to work on multiple active projects.
Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative as well as with other members of the organisation.
