Advanced Level Apprenticeship
The JDR Group are looking to recruit another apprentice to add to their friendly and vibrant team based on Pride Park in Derby.
The successful applicant will join 2 other SM Apprentices in performing the following day to day duties:
Managing the content on clients’ Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ & LinkedIn
Responding to client requests – eg: applying changes to websites, adding logos, amending content
Writing web content – article creation, blogging
Link building – creating links to improve Google ratings
Determining key word specification – ensuring the relevant key words are utilised to assist with Google rating
Creating, editing and sharing images, video’s on Social Media platforms in addition to infographics
Answering the phones – offering first line support to clients when they call with any requests or queries
Making initial contact with new clients – explaining processes, to-do lists etc.
Due to the nature of the job, JDR require someone with strong writing skills and effective research techniques. The successful applicant will have a flair for creative writing and the flexibility to research and blog about a diverse range of subjects.
Requirements and prospects
A desire to learn about digital marketing
Excellent written English skills
Computer and web literate
Be able to work on own initiative
Have a passion for the internet
A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above including maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)
For the ideal candidate,the opportunity to progress onto a level 4 programme or secure a full-time position will be available.
Things to consider
Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

About the employer
The company began as JDR Business Coaches Ltd offering coaching, consulting and training services to company directors, winning a number of awards in this sector during the first three years. The specialisation in digital marketing began with a new branch of the company in 2007, JDR Websites, providing web design and search marketing services. In 2012 the company had grown to over 800 clients in the UK, and added content creation, social media and display advertising to its services and rebranded as the JDR Group. Shortly afterwards they became Hubspot Partners, Google Partners and began the specialisation into Inbound Marketing.
Combined with knowledge and skills gained in the workplace, the Digital Marketer Apprenticeship programme will provide an understanding into the fundamentals of marketing, digital business principles and the principles of coding
Training will be provided via outstanding classroom training, dedicated workplace mentorship and on-the job experience
The apprenticeship will include:
BCS L3 Digital Marketer Diploma
Google Analytics Individual Qualification
You will also be able to join the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) as an affiliate member and join the British Computing Society (BCS) as an associate member
Training and assessment:
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be required to attend your local academy for training sessions
You will attend a four-day synoptic assessment at the end of your course
Your dedicated mentor will visit you in the workplace approximately every 6-8 weeks
Online support for modules will be provided for you to complete outside of work
The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace
