We require a professional trainee to join our Apprenticeship scheme in the Great Lever area of Bolton. The role aims to provide a good understanding of an insurance broking environment and a future career in insurance.

Working in a busy Insurance sales environment you will learn all elements of the customer journey which in the beginning will include the full administration role.

Further into the Apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of insurance products and dependent on ability and learning will progress on to the sales teams giving you the opportunity to experience the entire customer journey for personal lines business.

You will also play a pivotal role in supporting the senior commercial handlers by preparing and issuance of documentation including client letters adhering to all compliance requirements.
In addition to the apprenticeship qualification full training for the role will be provided.

A normal day would include: sorting post, answering the telephone, filing, scanning, greeting visitors, providing drinks, replacing kitchen sundries, post office run, franking post, general day to day housekeeping of the office.

What you could go on to do: introduction to the basics of insurance, personal line – day to day handling of renewals, new quotes and midterm adjustments, admin support to the commercial team preparing quotes and letters, MI reporting.

A detailed training programme which will be reviewed on a regular basis and updated accordingly, regular 1-2-1’s with ongoing feedback
