About this opportunity

The Apprentice multi-skilled operative will undertake a wide range of repairs basic work and maintenance on all Great Places property types whilst observing and assisting the qualified operative with more complex tasks or jobs.

A normal day would include:

• Meet with your training mentor to start the day
• Look at the appointments assigned to you for the day
• Plan your route and set off for your first job
• Attend all appointments in the day, updating your mobile device in real time
• Conduct a range of basic repairs tasks
• Shadow and observe more complex repairs jobs, assisting the qualified operative as instructed
• Liaise with the Planning team for any queries
• Accept any emergencies as they may come through in the day and accommodate into your diary
• Debrief with your training mentor/RFM

What you could go on to do:
This apprenticeship position will provide you with the opportunity to complete the required Level 2 training to progress into a Level 3 trade specific role to specialise as a multi-skilled joiner or plumber, or transition to the level 2 Electrical qualification to work towards becoming a qualified Electrician.

There may be opportunities for successful applicants to then progress into a permanent role with the employer, starting as a trainee progressing through to a permanent fully qualified operative through gaining the appropriate experience and skills, and demonstrating the behaviours required to promote the company positively to customers and stakeholders.

How you will be supported:
Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role. The employer will also provide you with a workplace mentor to support your development within the role as well as lots of additional training and development opportunities and enable you to participate in a range of organisational projects to enhance the skills you develop even further.

• Qualified to minimum GCSE level 4 or equivalent in English and maths
