Advanced Level Apprenticeship
The Apprentice IT & Networking Support role will be required to assist customers and colleagues with problem solving, IT security, Workflow Management remote infrastructure and data handling.
Industrial IT Systems are a small organisation and having a small company mentality is a must. Although all the staff have their own core function within the business, all employees are trained on the business operation and can step in when necessary.
The company attends trade shows across Europe and travel to support these may be an option.
The IT will provide technical pre & post-sales support. Most of the time customers need help in choosing the right product for their application. Or they need technical support to install the products / troubleshooting.
Dealing with RMA (Return Material Authorisation)
The product that we sell have up to 5-year warranty and we need to provide support during this period. One of the IT’s main focus will be dealing with the RMA and helping customers to go through the entire process.
Helping Marketing with technical content:
Marketing heavily relies on the IT when it comes to technical web content. The IT needs help in writing content like: FAQ, Product Comparison, Vertical Market etc.
Assisting with business operation whenever necessary:
Although all the staff have their own core function within the business, all employees are trained on the business operation and can step in when necessary.

Understanding of basic to intermediate technical issues
A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including maths, English and ICT (or equivalents).
A potential full-time position within the business and optional progression to Level 4 qualification.
Things to consider
The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour as of 1st of April 2018. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds; £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £7.83 for those over 25.

Tungsten Building Unit 2
Throughout the duration of your apprenticeship programme, you will be required to attend your local Academy for 30 days of training across five months, featuring structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3, Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship.
The apprenticeship will include:
Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if applicable).
Knowledge Module 1 – Networking and Architecture.
Knowledge Module 2 – Mobile and Operating Systems.
Knowledge Module 3 – Cloud Services.
Knowledge Module 4 – Coding and Logic.
Knowledge Module 5 – Business Processes.
One vendor certification selected based on your job role and individual capabilities (Typically a Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA) certification).
On completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded BCS accredited knowledge modules covering the following topics: Networking and Architecture, Mobile and Operating Systems, Cloud Services, Coding and Logic and Business Processes. You will also receive an industry recognised qualification from Microsoft or CompTIA whilst gaining eligibility to apply to the register of IT Technicians confirming SFIA L3 Professional Competence.
