The Sunflower Children’s Centre are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistant to join their small friendly team who will offer you support and guidance throughout your Apprenticeship.

You will be working alongside the existing team, providing a high standard of care and education for children. This is a beautifully done setting, which creates a great place to work. The ideal candidate will be extremely eager, and be committed to a career in Childcare.

A normal day would include
To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery
To give support to other personnel within the Nursery
To help to implement daily routines
To contribute to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in your area in conjunction with other staff
To assist in keeping records of achievement on file for parents
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
To be flexible within the working practices of the Nursery
Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery, e.g. cleansing of equipment etc
To ensure mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing
To be aware of Safeguarding at all times.
