Here at Rockbourne Day Nursery we are a well established Nursery within Woolton. We are currently recruiting an apprentice to join our busy team! If you are passionate about starting your career in Childcare then this could be the opportunity for you.

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
The main duty within this role is to promote the physical, social and emotional development of each child within your remit and contribute towards their care and supervision.
Roles and responsibilities include:
Meeting and greeting parents and children at the nursery.
Making sure all children are safe and treated equally.
Participating in activities with the children eg reading, numeracy, literacy activities.
Communicate with parents/families to help to encourage the child.
To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
Assisting at snack and mealtimes.
Requirements and prospects
Excellent communication skills.
Customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of safeguarding
Basic knowledge of health and safety.
Passionate about a career in Childcare
Clean and tidy appearance
Willing to learn and develop.
No formal qualifications are required for this role, although 4 – 9 grade GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent would be a distinct advantage.
Upon completion of the apprenticeship programme you may be offered the opportunity to progress within the company.
This could include;
The opportunity of a permanent position within the business.
The opportunity to progress on to an Advanced Early Years Educator apprenticeship programme with Interserve Learning and Employment.

Looking for a fantastic Liverpool Day Nursery? We are tucked away on Rockbourne Avenue in the quiet leafy suburb of Woolton, South Liverpool postcode L25.
The nursery has been purposefully adapted to accommodate children from birth to five years and the children are divided into three rooms Baby (0-2yrs), Toddlers (2-3yrs) and Pre-School (3-5yrs). Each having a separate room especially designed to cater for all of their needs.
At Rockbourne Day Nursery we pride ourselves on experienced staff and ensuring a happy, stimulating and secure environment for all the children in our care. We follow the government guidelines and early years foundation stage (EYFS), to provide the best care and education for each individual child.
We also recognise the importance of working in partnership with parents to meeting the needs of the children. We do this by consulting parents on a regular basis through daily diaries parent evenings and through our online service via Capture Education.
We have an open plan outdoor area to the rear of the nursery. There are plenty of opportunities for children to explore and use imagination in their play regardless of the weather, with a side garden for our younger babies to explore nature at its best.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Rockbourne Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete an Intermediate Children and Young People’s apprenticeship programme delivered through Rockbourne Day Nursery’s dedicated training provider, Interserve Learning & Employment.
Functional skills in English and Maths if required
