Here at Parklands Private Day Nursery, we are currently looking for an apprentice to start here with us. If you have a previous Childcare qualification and you are passionate about building your career here with us, then this is the opportunity for you!
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
The main duty within this role is to promote the physical, social and emotional development of each child within your remit and contribute towards their care and supervision.
Begin and develop your understanding of EYFS, observations and assessments.
Support child development within the nursery setting.
Completing handovers with parents, guardians and colleagues.
Create child development plans and observations.
Develop your understanding of relevant laws and legislation.
Encourage health eating.
Help creat activities to develop the Maths and English skills of the children within the nursery setting.
Develop relationships with parents, colleagues and children within the setting.
Help with snack and meal times.
Requirements and prospects
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Customer service skills
Team working skills
Previous Childcare qualification
Keen to succeed
Passionate about developing their career with childcare.
Previous Level 2 Childcare qualification (Cache or NVQ)
Upon completion of the Early Years Educator apprenticeship programme, you may be offered the opportunity to progress within the company.
Things to consider
The successful candidate will be required to complete a full DBS Check, this will be paid for by the employer
Travel may be required across sites dependant on staff ratios (all accounted for)
The Current National Minimum Wage (ANMW) rate for apprentices is £3.70 per hour. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. After the 1st April 2018 the minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 years old and £7.83 for 25 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Parklands Private Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete an Early Years Educator apprenticeship programme delivered through Parklands Private Day Nursery’s dedicated training provider, Interserve Learning & Employment.
