Apprentice Software Developer

Estio training has an exciting new opportunity based in Stockport for an Apprentice Web Developer to join their team.
This company have been designing, building and supporting IT systems for Golf Clubs since 1982, and now have more than 2000 customers in the UK and Ireland along with customers as far away as Dubai, Ghana and Sri Lanka. Their systems cover all aspects of Golf Club administration along with various security systems covering doors, car-parks and more.
Developer (Microsoft Technology Stack) currently based at our head office in Stockport and relocating to Manchester City Centre around March/April 2016.
You will work as part of a dynamic team in an agile environment.
Work will be varied and exciting from the enhancement of existing products right through to greenfield, innovative products and services, helping to shape the industry and maintain Club Systems International’s market-leading position.
We use the latest tools, languages, frameworks and platforms across the technology stack.
Requirements and prospects
Some experience in any of the following:
– C#.NET, MVC, SQL
– HTML, CSS
– Entity Framework
Any examples of current work e.g. a portfolio would be beneficial.
New to processes and methodologies but holds an understanding of modern approaches.
Demonstrates basic technical understanding and fundamentals.
Shows desire and enthusiasm to learn. Adaptable, open minded and a quick learner.
An interest in all thinks technical and be looking to further their career in .Net Web Development. An interest in golf would also be beneficial but is not essential.
A passion for programming and software development is a must, along with a strong interest in technology. A love of golf is a bonus, but not essential.
Have 5 GCSE’s at grades A*- C or equivalent (including English Language and Maths.

The Estio Training IT Apprenticeship programme gives people the opportunity to get practical experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.
Learners will receive 9 weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
