To assist the team and the manager of the Systems Operations Group to support, develop and facilitate the effective use of the Bank’s IT services to ensure business needs are optimised.

Proactively work to improve and develop the IT systems and service delivery through individual and team efforts, as well as identifying, resolving and mitigation of any related issues.

Complete the Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship Level 3 programme

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

Deliver 1st Line Support for IT services provided by the Bank for ALL IT services to defined SLA’s
Run the end of day procedures for the banks systems and develop automated procedures to improve their efficiency
Provide Infrastructure, Technical, Applications and Security support for all IT services provide by the bank
Maintain up to date documentation for all deliverables
Liaise with other Applications, Technical Services, and IT security groups, and IT vendors, for efficient handoff and closure of more complex incidents and problems
Meet training goals set by the Infrastructure Technician Level 3 training and generally the develop the team’s performance to improve the IT service delivery function
Set personal goals and targets to learn about desktop productivity tools used by the bank, such as Exchange, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

Solid understanding and aptitude for IT software tools, mobile phones, and IT hardware
‘A’ Levels in scientific and mathematical subjects
GCSE English grade A
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Training to be provided:

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.

Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated Skills Development Coach who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.

This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:

Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
PC Fundamentals
Business Processes & Customer Services
Networking & Architecture
Mobile & Operating Systems
Cloud Services
Coding & Logic
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
