This is a unique and exciting opportunity to get into the world of business, earn while you learn on the job and gain a business management qualification and have the option to be accredited by an industry body.
As part of your programme (ranging from 18 months to 3 years depending on the nature of your chosen apprenticeship), we will support you as you work with passionate and skilled people in a variety of work placements across the BBC.
You will learn about the different areas of business such as Marketing, Project Management, Budget Management and Digital Technology – At the same time as studying towards a Level 3/4/6 qualification (depending on the nature of your chosen apprenticeship).
For the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship, you will gain a degree in Business Management and have the option to apply for professional recognition as Chartered Managers and Members of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr MCMI) and/or as a member of the Institute for Leadership & Management or other relevant professional body.

Main Responsibilities
For the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship – as part of the three year programme you will complete five work placements with the BBC, while studying towards the degree. You’ll attend a series of workshops delivered by our learning provider – QA Apprenticeships – across the country and will also be expected to study at home.
For the other Business Management & Administration Apprenticeships (Non-Degree) – as part of the 18 – 24 months, you will complete three work placements within the BBC, while studying towards a Level 3 or Level 4 Qualification. You will attend a series of classroom based workshops (near your preferred BBC location nationwide) and will also be expected to study at home.

• For the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship – a BSc Honours degree in Professional Management (equivalent to Business Management) and a Professional Certificate with CMI.
• For the Level 4 Apprenticeship – a Level 4 Qualification.
• For the Level 3 Apprenticeship – a Level 3 Qualification.
• A CV full of amazing experience through working in one of the world’s most creative and innovative media organisations.


The Ideal Candidate
This will be an exciting but challenging opportunity which requires a lot of hard work and commitment from you.
You don’t need to have work experience. We’re looking for people who can work on their own initiative as well as part of a team. You’ll also have excellent communication, organization and administrative skills. You’ll have an ability to work with numbers in spreadsheets and databases.
You’ll have a genuine interest in business and a passion to develop a career in business management within the creative industry.
You’re likely to have five GCSEs Grade A*-C and studied A Levels or a vocational qualification such as a BTEC. This apprenticeship is not aimed at degree level graduates. We’re looking for creative, passionate people with great ideas, not necessarily people with academic qualifications. So don’t talk yourself out of this great opportunity!
