What you need to do in this job:

• Undertake the Business Admin (Level 2), which is part of your Apprenticeship. You will be provided with support from an external trainer and internal mentor. The course takes 12 – 15 months to complete.

• Assist with all aspects of the recruitment process; including, publishing job adverts, reviewing application forms / employment histories, requesting references and other pre-employment checks, correspondence with candidates, issuing contracts and updating the e-Recruitment system.

• Gather and review statistical information in relation to recruitment and other HR functions.

• Set up personnel files, both manual and electronic, and produce ID cards for new staff.

• Assist the HR Administrator, as required, with the renewal process for Disclosure and Barring (DBS) checks.

• Acknowledge resignation letters and assist with archiving files for staff who have left the organisation.

• Provide good customer service, by answering calls and emails, responding to the queries if possible, and recording and forwarding messages to other members of the HR team.

• Provide general administrative support; including, photocopying, franking outgoing post and opening incoming post, inputting data into the HR database and preparing mail merge letters.

• Participate in one-to-one supervision meetings and attend training so that you fully develop in your role and career.
