About this opportunity
Working as a member of a small, friendly, supportive finance team to assist in the processing of purchase orders, invoices, counting and banking monies, petty cash requests and other general finance and administration tasks.
A normal day might include
•Entering purchase order requests on to the school’s finance system
•Making train and hotel reservations
•Opening mail for the finance team, date stamping and distributing to the relevant colleague
•Providing great customer service
•Following up missing purchase orders from teachers
•Dealing with queries about orders from budget holders
•Using the finance system to check order status
•Counting and recording school dinner monies
•Taking calls from suppliers chasing up outstanding payments
•Printing application forms for a vacancy in school
Salary will be minimum wage for your age group
Year 25 and over 21 to 24 18 to 20 Under 18

We are seeking an individual with good numeracy & IT skills (particularly Excel) and GCSE grade C+ in English and B+ in Mathematics.
A permanent role may be available at the end of the apprenticeship for a suitably skilled and proven candidate.
What you could go on to do
Develop your data analytical skills and Excel skills to become a Data Manager in a wide variety of organisations; gathering, analysing, evaluating and presenting different types of data and information from various sources and in a variety of formats to provide leadership staff with high quality information to better inform strategy.
