As an office administrator, the apprentice will deal with queries, data entry and maintain databases. They will also be a point of contact for clients, suppliers, walk in customers and may be coached how to measure, give quotes and follow up with clients for the end-to-end service. This will involve duties such as invoicing and record-keeping.

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Duties to include:
Data entry, i.e processing payments/invoices/delivery notes/reconciling paperwork
Dealing with calls, emails and queries
Use of Microsoft Office also in house bespoke CRM
Maintaining databases-records to extract and manipulate
Organise documents- files and reports
Liaising with suppliers/clients
Deal with general office enquiries from employees/public
General administrative duties
Chasing account customers for outstanding payments
Check damaged stock and fill shelves accordingly
Requirements and prospects
Good Knowledge of various ITpackages including Microsoft Office and a willingness to be trained on application/systems
Previous experience in a similiar role, however a willingness to learn and be part of a team is essential
approachable and friendly
people-focused with an organised approach
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at minimum grades 4/C or abve.

Things to consider
The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70 an hour from the 1st of April 2018. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year old, £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24, and £7.83 for those over 25.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Slough Bathrooms is a private independent company which has been trading for five years. They sell all types of bathroom materials to supplying goods, and to measuring and installing standard to bespoke bathrooms. A growing yearly business they install custom made Jacuzzi / Sauna and have a working Sauna ready to showcase.

Off-the job training: your training provider will provide you with the under-pinning knowledge which you will be able to use and apply within your workplace.
On-the job training: you will cross train within each department of the business and your mentor will help you to understand all aspects of working within a busy, successful business.
End Point Assessment: You will work with your assessor and manager to ensure you have received enough support to complete you assessment nearing the end of your apprenticeship.
You will work towards achieving a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
You will receive support and guidance to help you develop as a person and to get your career started!
