Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Provide high standards of care and learning, supporting, the personal, social and emotional development for children aged from 6 months – 8 years of age according to their individual needs
Give support to other personnel within the Nursery
Implement the daily routine in your area of work/nursery room
Assist team to implement required frame of the Early Years Foundation and a programme of activities to promote the framework
Support practitioners to keep accurate records of achievement on their key children, for parents and to inform planning
Support children’;s learning based upon their interests and individual learning style
Ensure the safety of children through applying the child protection and safeguarding procedures
Work alongside parents of special needs children to give full integration in the Nursery
Support all staff and engage in good staff team work
Liaise with and support parents and other family members
Attend ALL out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parent evenings etc.
Be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery e.g. preparation of snack, cleansing of equipment etc.
Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that you are aware and implement all of the setting policies and procedures
Look upon the nursery as a whole, helping where you can to meet the needs of the children.
