Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
Encouraging good behaviour by being a good role model and acting professionally at all times.
Encouraging children to interact positively with each other and take part in activities alongside the children.
Ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times.
Assist with snack and meal times
To be aware and follow all the settings policy and procedures
Open to learning how to provide outstanding quality childcare.
Assisting with the set up and closing down routines such as health and safety checks and general cleaning
The post will require an Enhanced DBS check
Requirements and prospects
Good communication skills.
Keen, honest and trustworthy.
GCSE’s passes are preferred but not essential as Functional Skills in Maths and English will be completed.
After completing level 2 progression to Level 3 or a permanent job working in the out of school club.
Things to consider
The Current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.70 per hour. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. After the 1st April the minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 years old and £7.83 for 25 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
About the employer
We have two settings within walking distance to each other.One is an out of school club that provides quality play activities for children aged 6-12 operating 7.00am- 9.00am for breakfast club and then again at 3.00pm- 6.00pm (Mon -Fri) The second setting is a homely child minding setting that cares and educates younger children age 0-5. Both settings are led by an Ofsted rated Outstanding child minder.
