Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
The main duty within this role is to promote the physical, social and emotional development of each child within your remit and contribute towards their care and supervision.
Duties may include:
Provide opportunities for children to develop individually following Early Years
Take part in play activities with the children
Contribute to positive relationships with children
Promote positive behaviour and confidence
Maintain child safety.
Take part in outdoor activities
Help to maintain a healthy balanced diet for the children
Requirements and prospects
Strong communication skills – the ability to converse with young children, parents and colleagues alike
Team working skills
Some experience of working with childcare would be an advantage.
Caring and compassionate attitude a must
A genuine desire to work with children
A-C grades in Maths or equivalent qualifications would be highly advantageous.
A – C Grade in English or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
Previous experience working with children would also be advantageous.
Upon completion of your Intermediate Children and Young People’s Workforce pprenticeship programme, there is the possibility of progressing to a Level 3 Apprenticeship and becoming a fully qualified Nursery Practitioner.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Children 4 Most will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
If successful, you will complete an Intermediate Children and Young People’s apprenticeship programme delivered through Children 4 Most’s dedicated training provider, Interserve Learning & Employment.
