We are looking for a Digital Apprentice to join our multi-disciplinary team. If you have a keen interest in writing or website management and want to get started in a career, this role could be just what you’re looking for. We are ideally looking for a school or college leaver, or anyone wanting to begin working in digital content.
You will be joining a friendly, award-winning team working in a modern and forward-thinking environment. All the key skills are within this multi-disciplinary team – content design, user interface design, front-end development, user research and insight. The main focus for the apprentice is content design and eForm production and also offers the opportunity to work throughout the team, learning from and supporting their activities.
Assisting the team in creating and updating user-centric website content for a range of topics.
Working on the Content Management System (CMS) to make changes.
Work with the team to set up, gather and understand user feedback.
Attend meetings and workshops with a range of stakeholders as applicable.
Assist the team in creating and updating online forms.
Testing online forms against the identified criteria.
Carry out form processes and duties.
Assist with handling the inbound enquiries to the Digital Services team including monitoring the team’s email inbox and answering the team’s phone line.
Aid in the production of regular and one-off reports.
Support the running of projects.
Help with the systems the team use such as the Knowledge Base, project tasks system and Open Objects data store.
User interface and development assistance
Carry out routine tests of web pages to ensure they work well on a variety of devices
Work towards using simple front-end HTML as part of creating content when applicable

Impeccable written English skills including spelling and grammar.
Passionate about writing and creating copy for online channels.
Eye for detail and accuracy in written content.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
Able to take the users’ perspective.
Comfortable working with reports and feedback, both statistical and anecdotal.
Open to working on a range of duties through the team.
Able to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Any previous experience of working with a CMS would be ideal but not essential.
