Vacancy overview: 

Reporting to the Client Marketing and Communications Director, the Marketing Assistant/Apprentice will be responsible for providing comprehensive marketing administration support on a day-to-day basis across the whole of the clients team. 

Key responsibilities:

Digital marketing:

  • Posting agreed content on social media channels
  • Updating and posting new content on the website as directed by the communications team
  • Distributing internal communications and updating the intranet
  • Assist in building and distributing email marketing campaigns

Photography sessions:

  • Organising photography sessions, including:
  • Booking dates with the photographer
  • Booking rooms for sessions
  • Booking in photography appointments
  • Managing the approval and request of final photograph

Events:

  • Organising events under the supervision of the marketing and BD advisors, including:
  • Booking rooms/venues
  • Creating event invitations
  • Monitoring attendee numbers and alerting the team is numbers are low or high
  • Sending updates on attendees to practices in Frontier
  • Liaising with the catering, facilities and front of house team
  • Ensuring IT requirements are in place
  • Distributing badges to guests
  • General supervision during event (may involve some evening work)

Data management:

  • Ensuring data for use in communications and events is provided by the Data team
  • Some updating of data where information is missing or incorrect

Administration and record keeping:

  • Be responsible for ordering promotional items
  • Maintain a good stock level of marketing materials and re-order where necessary
  • Assist in booking rooms and arranging larger or more complex meetings for the team
  • Logging invoices that are passed for payment and ensure good record keeping
  • Maintain the teams electronic filing system to ensure folders are appropriate and well managed
  • General support for the team on projects

What qualities and skills are we looking for:

Essential Experience:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent knowledge and use of social media platforms
  • Worked within a team
  • Takes ownership for problem solving and achieving deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Confident to challenge and share innovative ideas
  • Strong time management and the ability to prioritise

Desirable Experience:

  • Use of LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Some knowledge of marketing systems such as CMS/CRM/E-marketing
  • Event planning
  • Experience within a professional services environment
  • Languages – German, French, Spanish, Eastern European

Future prospects

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.
