Become one of the brains behind a completely unique off-price business model.
Who is TJX Europe?
You might not have heard of TJX Europe, but you’ve probably heard of our brands – TK Maxx and Homesense. We’re part of the world’s leading off-price apparel and home fashions retailer – TJX Companies, Inc. We’ve an annual global turnover of over $35bn* and our business just keeps on growing.
To help us do this, we rely on our financial strength to be agile, adaptable and, ultimately, to grow the business. That’s where you come in.
Our Finance Apprenticeship
Our Finance Apprenticeship offers a lot more than you might expect. For a start, you’ll get lots of training and experience in the core operational areas that are responsible for running the financial aspects of our business. Plus you’ll be able to gain further qualifications and build your career as you learn. All while being an integral member of a fast-moving global company, with a unique culture.
The foundation to your apprenticeship will be the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 4. This will usually take 18-24 months to complete. Along the way you’ll pick up accounting technical knowledge (which will help you understand basic accounts and financial statements), plus gain knowledge of our business, ethical standards, rules and regulations, and our systems and processes.
You’ll also meet people from other functions, build your appreciation for how our unique business operates and see how a career in finance will let you add value at every opportunity.
The experience you’ll gain
Ultimately, you’re not only looking to start your career. You’re looking for an unforgettable journey. You want to be part of something huge. Something global. A Finance Apprenticeship with TJX Europe is where it can all begin.
The skills you’ll need
· A minimum of one B and two C grades at A level
· 5 GCSEs of at least grade C
· Natural curiosity, flexibility and a talent for connecting with people
· Good communication skills are really important, as challenging views and influencing decisions will be a big part of your role
Alongside the requirements listed above, if you have European language skills – particularly German or Polish – that would be great. And if you’ve lived and worked in mainland Europe, even better. In a business like ours, these are great assets to have.
