Apprenticeship summary

Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities:

NB There will be more than one Coordinator and the information below covers the full range of accountability / activity in scope. In practical terms, the activity will be shared between the coordinators.

  • To support the Group Fleet Manager with delivery of ongoing operational activity
  • To work closely with LeasePlan regarding ongoing operational processes and activity.
  • To manage the ongoing fleet invoice and accrual activity in an accurate and timely manner
  • To manage the ongoing Fleet system (Jaama) regarding data accuracy and integrity – ‘owning’ the Jaama system
  • To provide the DEFRA contract support – this is an invoicing activity

Operating Environment:

The role will be mainly office based in the Midlands area, with little travel around the country.

Communications and Working Relationships:

The role holder will need to be a good communicator and strong team player. Developing relationships with LeasePlan (and other third – party suppliers) and the driver community across the whole of the Interserve operational business is key to the success of the role.

This is an important position within the Group Fleet Team, supporting the Group Fleet Manager to optimize the Fleet ways of working.

Future prospects

  • The 12 – month programme is delivered onsite in the workplace by Interserve Learning & Employment and involves time off the job to attend monthly workshops, webinars and 121 sessions with your tutor.
  • The role may offer the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship programme for the right candidate.

The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70 an hour from the 1st of April 2018. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24, and £7.83 for those over 25.
