Description of the job
Our UK Graduate Programmes provide exceptional graduates the opportunity to master managerial and technical skills. Over
the 2/3 year period it combines rotational placements with focused training and the possibility of European assignments as well
as further personal development and the chance to build your professional network.
From day one, you will be assigned to a particular department and will be guided through the various placement opportunities
that exist within your function, the wider business and even with customers and suppliers. This, along with training provided

The Future Projects Office is responsible for the preliminary design of all new Airbus aircraft, achieved through exploring and
challenging the design space and integrating technical and business drivers. The work is very varied and also involves
maintaining the competitiveness and attractiveness of our current product line right through to finding sustainable solutions to the
energy, environmental and capacity challenges of the future. Working extremely closely with the equivalent groups based in
France, Germany and Spain the role is ideally suited to innovative and highly motivated individuals with a strong interest in the
whole aircraft, including all aspects of its design, manufacture and operation.
This role will be based in Bristol, Filton (must be flexible) and will receive the full Airbus UK Graduate programme benefit
package including an annual Salary of £27,000 plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
¤ Undertake the conceptual design and multi-disciplinary analysis of future Airbus products at both overall aircraft and
¤ Identify and develop possible evolutions of our existing products in order to maintain their competitiveness against the
¤ Conduct R&T to identify and develop future technologies and their integration into our current and future products
¤ Develop and exploit world-class capabilities to support the conceptual design process
¤ Explore future product and business scenarios
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
¤ Educated to degree level (2:1 or above) or equivalent within one the following disciplines;
– Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Avionics, or Electrical Engineering.
Other scientific & technical disciplines will be considered provided that a strong interest in the aerospace industry and aircraft
design is demonstrated.
¤ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
¤ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
¤ An Engineering Internship or Aerospace-based projects during academic studies would be desirable.
¤ English: Fluent
