Airbus Defence & Space Intelligence is a leading provider of satellite imagery, geographic information products, software and services delivering geographic information solutions into both private and public sector organisations worldwide. We offer a comprehensive products and services portfolio covering the entire downstream value chain, such as data acquisition and processing, imagery analysis and interpretation, state of the art database solution for archiving, accessing and real time analytics of large datasets.

From day one, you will be assigned to a particular department and will be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function, the wider business and even with customers and suppliers. Working as a part of the Earth Observation and Remote Sensing Team, main activities will include:
¤ Big data and machine learning techniques;
¤ Data fusion and quality control;
¤ Algorithm development and prototyping, automation of processing chains, system integration;
¤ Contribution to on-going operational projects, supporting the team to achieve timely deliverables and objectives.
As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
¤ At minimum, a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science or related subject;
¤ Experience of programming, e.g. Python, C++, Matlab;
¤ Experience of analysing and processing data;
¤ Strong analytical and communication skills;
¤ Innovative thinking and problem solving skills;
¤ Keen to acquire new expertise and share knowledge;
¤ Able to work under own initiative and in a team environment.
¤ Remote Sensing and Earth Observation knowledge;
¤ Experience of analysing and processing geospatial data;
¤ Experience in Linux OS.
This role will be based in Guildford and will receive the full Airbus Defence & Space Graduate programme benefit package including an annual Salary of £27,000, plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
