As a Level 2 Hospitality apprentice, your day to day duties will include, but are not limited to:

Preparing all food in the kitchen
Following all food hygiene and health and safety policies and procedures
Cooking food
Presenting food to specification
Time management
Cleaning the kitchen as required
The working week will consist of 5 days a week shift work, including weekends and evenings – this will be discussed at interview if you are to be successful.

No qualifications are required for this apprenticeship as full training will be provided throughout the apprenticeship.

Future prospects
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, we are looking to give the candidate the opportunity to complete their Level 3 hospitality apprenticeship or maybe become a full time member of the team.

Things to consider
The Current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. From 1st April 2018 this rises to £3.70 per hour. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. After the 1st April the minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 years old and £7.83 for 25 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Our Personal Tutors will deliver outstanding teaching and learning to help ENERGISE you to complete your apprenticeship training and leave you confident to EXECUTE tasks to the highest standard.

You will complete a Hospitality Team Member Standard, you will be trained and mentored for the first 12 months of this apprenticeship and able to specialise in one of the following areas:

Food & Beverage, Barista, Food Production, Conference & Events Operations, Concierge & Guest Services, Housekeeping, Reception or Reservations. You will then complete an end point assessment which will include a multiple choice test, a practical observation, a business project/presentation & a professional discussion.

All training will be delivered in the work place with no requirement for day release to college. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.
