Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
Apprentice Motor Mechanic required for:
Repairing and maintaining Light and Heavy good vehicles
Learning about mechanical, diagnostic and technical issues on a diverse range of vehicles
These vehicles must be maintained to a high standard

Requirements and prospects
Enjoy practical and manual activities
Able to work and hand tools
Good at technical activities
Good time management
Must have an interest in motor Vehicles
Able to work as part of a team
Motivated to work and learn
Ideally should hold 5 GCSE A* – C or equivalent, but this is not essential
All students will need to take an aptitude test for maths and English
For the right candidate there will be an opportunity to progress to Level 3.
Things to consider
The Current National Minimum Wage (ANMW) rate for apprentices is £3.70 per hour. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. After the 1st April 2018 the minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 years old and £7.83 for 25 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

All training will be delivered by a combination of work place training & assessment and attending one day a week at our Fareham campus. You will be mentored by experienced members of staff while developing your skills to a nationally recognised industry standard.
