Who is TJX Europe?
You might not have heard of TJX Europe, but you’ve probably heard of our brands – TK Maxx and Homesense. We’re part of the world’s leading off-price apparel and home fashions retailer – TJX Companies, Inc. Last year, our annual revenue was over $33 billion*. But we don’t want to stop there. We’re confident that we can continue to grow and become a $40 billion plus company. To help us do this, we need graduates across our business – including Finance.
Off-price – the key to our success
What keeps our customers coming back time and time again? The fact that we offer designer labels, top brands and unique gems for less. Our ever-changing, eclectic treasure hunt of thousands of the world’s best and most exciting fashion and homeware brands mean our customers can find their unique style for less. Plus, they never know what they’ll find.
This is down to our Off-Price business model, which is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to exceptional value and quality in our approach to buying. Our opportunistic buyers are on the hunt throughout the year, buying merchandise from thousands of vendors around the world. It’s about thinking fast, being creative and making great deals.
This means that no two deliveries are ever the same. And neither are any two days. It’s an unconventional approach which is echoed throughout all areas of TJX Europe.
We rely on our financial strength to be agile, adaptable and, ultimately, to grow the business. That’s where you come in.
Our Finance Apprenticeship
Our Finance Apprenticeship offers a lot more than you might expect. For a start, you’ll get lots of training and experience in the core operational areas that are responsible for running the financial aspects of our business. Plus you’ll be able to gain further qualifications and build your career as you learn. All while being an integral member of a fast-moving global company, with a unique culture.
The foundation to your apprenticeship will be the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level 4. This will usually take 18-24 months to complete. Along the way you’ll pick up accounting technical knowledge (which will help you understand basic accounts and financial statements), plus gain knowledge of our business, ethical standards, rules and regulations, and our systems and processes.
You’ll also meet people from other functions, build your appreciation for how our unique business operates and see how a career in finance will let you add value at every opportunity.
The experience you’ll gain
Ultimately, you’re not only looking to start your career. You’re looking for an unforgettable journey. You want to be part of something huge. Something global. A Finance Apprenticeship with TJX Europe is where it can all begin.
The skills you’ll need
