Our UK branch is B2B and has a strong focus on helping our customers from various industries get to grips with all the details of their jobs. As Junior Product Manager, you’ll be supporting the Senior Product Developer and the publishing team by working on the product management of two or three subscription products (digital and print). This role has scope for development with ownership of various subscription products, including involvement in user research and website optimisation for acquisition and retention purposes.

Ensuring that product updates are delivered on time and to budget.
Assuring the quality of products, making sure that they meet customer requirements.
Assisting with (and eventually take ownership of) researching, developing, and testing improvements.
Assisting with commissioning high-quality content for backlist products.
Assisting with admin, including cost trackers, invoice management and update uploads.
Managing website content management, including planned uploads.
Assisting the copy editor with rigorous quality assurance to ensure that copy received does not infringe copyright, that contracts are in place and that legal requirements are met.
Commissioning and supervising freelance and temporary staff/authors to ensure that they meet publishing quality standards and publishing schedules.
Liaising with suppliers to ensure that all products are delivered on schedule and to budget.
Assisting in the creation of production schedules for products and ensuring that all suppliers are kept informed of changes.
On occasion editing and proofreading copy, ensuring that house style is adhered to.
Working with marketing to ensure the quality, accuracy, appropriateness and timeliness of copy and other materials supplied for marketing.
Collaborating on social media initiatives to increase customer base and participation.
Assisting with monitoring product marketing plans/sales forecasts.
Working to ensure all publishing-related expenditure is allocated, invoiced and reported correctly and on time.
Assisting with financial reporting as required, and with monitoring the financial performance of products.
Commissioning timely content for products.
Finding new authors/content partners.
Negotiating the right content for our users.
Collaborating across the business to develop various improvements for the products.
Assisting in user research and market research to direct continuous improvement initiatives.
Commissioning technical enhancements to websites in line with business objectives and to meet customer needs.
Assisting in meeting acquisition and retention targets for each product.
Dealing with customer queries and subject-related correspondence as required.
Excellent standard of English and an eye for detail.
Ability to network and negotiate with authors, suppliers, freelance staff and in-house staff.
IT-literate and an interest in new technologies.
Self-starter able to organise his/her work in an efficient manner and follow systems and procedures
Strong interest in continuous improvement and in combining UX, tech and business goals to maintain excellent products and satisfied users. (Desirable)
The job is full-time and office-based.
