The founding members of KarTechnic, Andy Slater and Kevin Orchard, have between them over 45 years vehicle service experience undergoing Main dealer training for Audi, BMW, Mercedes and VAG. They met whilst working for a local BMW dealer and soon realised that they shared a common feeling that owners of prestige cars were becoming increasingly disillusioned with the high prices and impersonal service that have become synonymous with many main dealers.
In 2006 they opened KarTechnic Poole and in 2013 opened their second garage in Christchurch both sites are proud to be accredited by both the Motor Ombudsman and the Trading Standards CTSI-approved motor industry code of practice for service & repair, ensuring we operate to the highest standards of service and offer peace of mind for our customers.
KarTechnic’s investment in the future goes far beyond diagnostic equipment and specialist tooling. Alongside our vastly experienced and main dealer trained staff of Andy, Kevin, Jo, Tanya, Jon, Doug and Barry, our in house training program has also produced four highly skilled technicians in Jamie, Jason, Tom and Ryan.
Already among the best qualified and most respected in their field our highly motivated team underlined their commitment to both the company and their career’s by returning to college in a night school program to tackle the highest available qualification in motor vehicle repair, they have subsequently either been accredited with, or are currently studying for a diploma in Motor Vehicle Management and Advanced Motor Vehicle Diagnostics. Upon completion of this course Jason, Jamie and more recently Tom became three of only a select group of technicians in the country to hold this qualification.
In addition to this Jamie & Tom already share the honour of being the ITE Motor Industry training centre’s highest achieving trainees over the last 10 years. our most recent Apprentice Ben joined us in September 2016 and under the guidance of Jamie is showing all the signs of following in the footsteps of his mentor.
KarTechnic is delighted to have such a depth of old and new talent, ensuring that your vehicle is in safe hands both now and for years to come.
