Astrum Education is a London based Education group that was established in 2012 and specialises in providing a high quality education that is tailored to the needs of each individual student. The group currently comprises of two schools, one independent sixth form college and one sixth form. In 2018 there will be a senior school opening on the other side of Hyde Park to cater to younger students looking for a top education in a central London location.
The two schools are located in prestigious central London locations; Chelsea Independent College in Chelsea, Kensington Park School in South Kensington. Currently, we teach over 600 14 to 19-year-olds with the intention to expand our offering to accommodate a wider age profile of students as young as 11 right through to sixth form.
Courses currently offered by the colleges include: A-levels, GCSE, Pre-GCSE and Pre A-level courses, International Foundation Year in partnership with NCUK, Easter Revision, Oxbridge and Medical School Preparation and Academic Summer Schools many of which are growing year on year and diversifying their offering.
Our Recruitment and Marketing team have extensive experience in domestic and overseas markets. We are expanding our centralised marketing, support and admissions functions to work with the sales and marketing team, in order to market and recruit students for the two existing Astrum schools and to cater for future expansion.
The Marketing Communications Officer will join the existing Recruitment and Marketing Team, to contribute primarily to the delivery of outstanding marketing communications across digital, print, media and other channels, and ultimately the achievement of Sales and Marketing objectives. The role will include assisting the International Marketing Manager on day to day running of the internationally focused side of the business and assisting the Sales team with requests in preparation for their events, presentations and other sales opportunities both domestically and overseas.
The role will include input in the following areas:
Implementation, seasonal and regular marketing communications for international markets student recruitment across online, advertising, press, feeder schools and other platforms.
Generating and executing marketing campaigns across social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc
Creating regionally specific and globally reaching E-Marketing campaigns
Work with regional Recruitment & Marketing staff to develop and provide input into the marketing communications plan and asset management for international markets.
Assisting the International Marketing Manager with the sourcing of advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press, magazines or other channels as appropriate.
Develop and enhance brand equity of two very different school brands as well as many different ‘mini brands and products’ all providing a unique service within the market, as well as that of the parent brand itself.
Assist the International Marketing Manager as a point of contact and liaison for marketing material requests.
Improve internal communication and asset supply processes to equip the sales team and enable greater market orientation across functions.
Ensure consistency and accuracy of our messaging and customer promises.
Assisting in the preparation and delivery of marketing plans, strategies and key objectives for the department.
Working with the in-house Marketing team and external web developers, designers and other creatives to produce materials of written and visual impact and within brand guidelines.
Monitoring competitor activity and generating ideas, strategies and plans to stay ahead in a rapidly changing market.

Key responsibilities and capabilities
Work with the Recruitment and Marketing team and colleges to implement and develop our range of marketing collateral including print and electronic media and publications.
Develop the 3 brands, in terms of positioning and content, in accordance with company strategic aims.
Develop and publish materials for social media channels.
Responsibility for keeping Astrum and individual college websites up to date, monitor and update those of agencies and partners as required.
Manage the collation of information, good news stories and data from the college and dissemination to the Recruitment and
Marketing team, agencies and partners.
Manage the creation of new printed collateral, monitoring of stock levels and assistance with distribution.
Manage relationships with suppliers and partners related to marketing communications e.g. external designers.
Ensure consistent messaging across all markets
Ensure accuracy of marketing materials with regard to the reality of delivery in the colleges
Work closely with Admissions team to improve pre-arrival communications with students, parents and agents
Assist regional Recruitment and Marketing staff with the design and implementation of their communications plans.
Assist with the request for marketing materials as and when they come in from the Recruitment and Marketing team.
Assist with sufficient stock levels of marketing collateral available for distribution within international markets.
