Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Network Support Technician with Fast & Easy Computers, an IT Services and Equipment Provider, based in Stockport.
Monday to Friday 9-5.30

Higher Level Apprenticeship
Fast & Easy are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to continue their IT career with us, while studying a level 4 advanced apprenticeship in Network Engineering, with options to progress to a degree apprenticeship on successful completion.
Working as part of a small team or individually, your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
Installing, maintaining and supporting computer systems and networks.
Providing friendly helpful advice and assistance with customer’s IT problems over the phone, via email or during remote support sessions.
Monitoring and reconfiguring PC systems using cloud based tools.
Documenting interactions with customers.
Performing these duties either remotely from our offices in Stockport or onsite at customers location around the Southern Greater Manchester Area
Configure and help with cloud based email, storage and backup.
Configure and secure customers mobile phone technology.
Requirements and prospects
Enthusiasm for IT equipment and its function.
The ability to work individually or as part of a team.
A good memory of specifications and for work procedures.
Experience configuring Microsoft Windows 7 and 10
Knowledge of data protection regulations such as the forthcoming GDPR.
Hobbyist experience with IT hardware and software (such as system building, operating system configuration etc).
Knowledge and experience of RMM and PSA tools.
Good phone manner.
Experience configuring Windows Servers, SQL, Active Directory and Exchange
Full driving license
Willingness to learn throughout their apprenticeship and beyond.
Being punctual, reliable and presentable.
Level 3 qualifications relating to Information Technology. e.g. Advanced apprenticeship in IT, A level IT/ICT or similar.
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
The role potentially offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.
Things to consider
The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour raising to £3.70 from 1st April 2018. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

Fast and Easy Computers provides IT services and equipment to small businesses and retail customers. Established over 20 years in Hazel Grove, they work with both retail and business customers, providing fully supported business computer equipment, gaming systems, network installations and IT managed services.

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.
Learners will receive ten weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
This apprenticeship will give you a Level 4 Network Engineer Standard with training in areas such as:
Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
Business Processes & Networking Fundamentals
Network Systems and Architecture
CompTIA A+ Certification (Required only if learner is not A+ certified)
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
