You will be working for…
A company that has been providing software development and related IT services since 1986. Our client’s customers include large corporate customers, over 50 Local Authorities, as well as organisations in Defence, Government, Financial and Business Services, Manufacturing and Distribution. A fundamental aspect of the company’s success lies in the enthusiastic, dedicated and positive attitude of the employees. You will be trained in how we do things, supporting the wider team as we develop leading edge bespoke software for major clients.

In this job you will…
Provide internal technical support, and provision infrastructure for new systems that the company will host, including internal systems
Provide ongoing management for core infrastructure (e.g. mail, firewalling, telephone systems, monitoring, authentication, VPN)
Ensure the regular testing of the company’s backups, in line with the backups policy
Work for the Head of Networks to help implementation of infrastructure changes
Full training will be given where necessary
Your training will…
Start with a 12-14 month IT apprenticeship, which consists of training in small groups and work based assessment covering: Operating systems, Server administration, Customer support, Networking and Security.
You will gain City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications in IT Systems & Principles and IT Professional Competence, as well as Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) qualifications leading to the Microsoft Certified Professional certification. This fantastic opportunity can potentially lead to you earning £30k in the IT sector.

Someone who has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Someone who has strong customer service skills
Someone who has the ability to work from their own initiative and as part of a team
Someone who has basic knowledge of PC maintenance
Someone who is well organised and has good prioritisation skills
Someone who ideally has 5 GCSE’S( C grade and above) including English and Maths
