Description of the job

Duration: 12 Months

The Filton Plant Programme Team ensures the day-to-day alignment with the Series programme management organizations (A400M and A350) concerning industrial planning, business & modification management and configuration management. They are also in charge of AOP (Financial planning) preparation, along with the plant leaders and are the holders for the Programme assumptions inside the plant.

A key to success for delivering upon commitments to the FAL is the plant manager and plant management team’s ability to anticipate issues potentially impacting the production flow as early as possible. Then to react quickly to contain and fix these issues and maintain the continuity of operations in the most efficient and effective manner within the committed targets.

Tasks & accountabilities
Key tasks for the department include the following…

Preparation and negotiation of the annual budget (AOP) and Life of Programme financial targets
Deviation and perimeter change Management
Manage the Programme improvement project portfolio & business case management
Business case set-up and validation for projects in the plant
Single voice of programme for arbitration inside the plant
Translation / cascade of Programme priorities into the plant
Alignment of planning and priorities for pre-FAL and FAL
Integrated management of industrial planning inside plant
Integrated management of all Plant Modifications
Consolidate and validate business projects: rate readiness, lead-time reduction, buffer management, CapEx
Perform cross-functional and community coordination at plant level to secure deliveries to customer
Measurement of CDT/Operational performance
Focal point for escalation topics and crises management
Undertake effective Enterprise Risk Management for the plant
Management of the SDO (Supplier Disruption Overcosts) process following supplier disruptions
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in and possibly lead a number of the above key tasks according to their ability and development interests and will be agreed with the candidate at time of induction due to the dynamic nature of the role.

You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement studying towards a degree in one of the following of similar:
