Airworld Airlines Ltd have 20 years experience in the Cargo Handling Business Based at London Heathrow Airport. Our Current customers include All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines who both serve routes between London Heathrow Airport and Haneda Airport Tokyo on a daily basis. In order to support our high level of customer service our clients are provided with dedicated Facility`s and operational staff to fulfill each part of the Cargo Handling process. The company prides itself on being flexible and providing our customers with a personal service in order to create and protect strong working relationships.

The job will involve all aspects of administration and will include working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services within our Freight Forwarding department.

Framework and Level: Business Administration Level 2

Vacancy full description: The responsibilities of the business administration apprentice role is to support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers & government agencies. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills. This will include; IT, Documentation, records, planning, decision making and customer focus. Working alongside existing Freight Forwarding staff with over 25 years experience the apprentice will gain valuable Knowledge of all in areas in the Freight Forwarding business in this ever growing and diverse company.

Pay: Minimum £131.25 per week

Qualifications required: GCSE (or equivalent) ; Maths, English, ICT (or Science) Grade C or Grade 4/5 or above

Any important other information: The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
