An exciting opportunity to support the development of key business growth projects – contributing to the planning, coordination and delivery of the Director of Business Growth’s portfolio of services.

As part of this role, you will lead on significant projects and undertake a Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship.

Project management and coordination
Undertaking the planning, management and implementation of projects, as appropriate including the leading the coordination of the annual Business Growth Hub business plan ensuring that there is a timetable in place for the development and implementation of the programmes.
Coordinating the roadmap and project plan for the digital transformation activity within the Hub, including, but not exclusive to, the BASIL CRM system.
Lead on the project planning of the Business Growth Hub staff conference(s), including making management decisions, project scoping, overall estimating and budgeting, developing a tracking system for costs and providing the Director with graphical representations of the project progress.
Manage the project pipeline for future planning on behalf of the Director and Senior Management Team, including action and priority management, ensuring adequate time allocated to complete key actions.
Scheduling and monitoring the progress of project activities to ensure they can be quality assessed.
Management of procurement processes within a project environment on behalf of the Director.

Researching, reporting and drafting
Leading on the development of new reporting processes, considering resources and timescales and satisfying needs of all project stakeholders.
Manage the collation of performance information in relation to performance management process.
Research and analysis of service performance, as well as feedback from clients, to support the design of new approaches to storytelling and presenting the Hub’s business support offer.
Supporting the production of regular reports for internal reporting systems and Boards.

Executive support
To provide executive assistance to the Director on key projects and general business development and delivery activity.
Provide day-to-day support to the Director and Project Manager, as required, to include diary management, accommodation and travel bookings, finance administration and event support.
Drafting correspondence and preparing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Supporting with the organisation of Business Growth Hub Senior Management Team meetings, chasing progress on action points prior to, and following, meetings.
Finance administration including: raising Purchase Orders and Invoices; drafting expense claims, including credit card, cash & foreign currency.
General office support, including professionally handling telephone calls, meeting and greeting visitors and sorting incoming mail.

Providing any other support to the Director as required to ensure best use of time and resources.

What you should have to apply

Minimum 5 GCSEs at C and above including Maths and English. Desirable would be A levels/A2 levels/BTEC 3 or experience in professional or administrative environment.
