Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Service Desk Apprentice with Structis UK, who are part of a global IT organisation within Bouygues Energies and Services UK, based in London.
Monday – Friday, shifts TBC.
Total hours per week: 37.50

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
The apprentice will support the Structis UK Service Desk team in responding to IT problems and queries from across the organisation. The apprenticeship offers an excellent grounding in IT hardware including; operating systems, server administration, networking, IT security and customer support.
The apprentice will receive high-quality workplace training, supplemented by offsite training in IT Infrastructure to Level 3 standard. Following completion of the 18 month apprenticeship, high performing individuals may have the opportunity to specialise and progress to high level qualifications.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
Working with the IT service desk team to offer 1st line support for a variety of services, including desktop support, tablet support and application support
Configuration of mobile devices
2nd line support tasks including; account requests, network access, deploying software to devices
Encrypting laptops and dealing with IT issues resulting from encryption
Providing effective and professional customer service to staff, either over the phone, or in person
Working effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas and sharing knowledge with others
Managing own time effectively and keeping up to date with college assignments and academic workload as part of the apprenticeship
To comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures, including having an ongoing awareness of Health and Safety and following procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements and prospects
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (UK/EU passport) and be a minimum of 16 years of age on 1st January 2018
Applicants should also have experience working in a team (either from work, education or hobbies) and a strong interest in IT or computer science

The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt. Learners will receive eight weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:
Functional skills, Maths Level 2 and English Level 2
PC Fundamentals & Customer Service Skills
Business Processes & Network Fundamentals
Coding & Logic
Networking and Architecture
Infrastructure Technician Level 3
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
