Job overview / purpose:

Dixons Carphone are going through a large-scale digital transformation, and building a new Digital Hub. We are looking for our next intake of IT Apprentices, who are as passionate about technology as we are, to work from our London office and join us on this journey.

Main role: [will include but not be limited to]:

As an IT Degree Apprentice in our Digital Academy at Dixons Carphone, you will:

  • Help to ensure that technology is both available and affordable to everyone who needs it, but you won’t just connect customers to all-important technology
  • Kick-start your career, earn money and learn new skills while you develop as a professional and make life happen with us – Europe’s number one electrical and telecommunications retailer

As part of our four-year Digital Academy Programme, you’ll you will work in exciting new digital hub supporting with the implementation of IT projects across the Dixons Carphone business. Throughout the 4 years you will build your experience and be given more and more accountability until you are able to take on one of the core roles within the digital hub.

What’s more, you’ll even have the chance to complete the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship – a qualification that will allow you to develop all the skills you need for your role. But you won’t do it alone. With the support from your management team and our learning partner, you’ll have everything you need to reach your full potential, earn money and work toward your degree. This is a big commitment as you will be studying towards a degree at the same time as working in a full time role. Although you will be given time within your daily role, you will have to complete assignments and coursework in your own time as well as complete exams.

  • Ideally, some experience within a Digital or IT role
  • In order to set yourself up for success, you will need to have a prior related qualification

Desired qualification requirements:

  • A-Levels in ICT/Computing
  • Or an Apprenticeship in a similar subject (this must be at least the level below the planned programme)
  • Or an International Baccalaureate at level 3 in ICT
  • Or a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

Please note, if you have a degree in an IT related subject, you will not be eligible for this particular opportunity.

Working week:

5 days per week,

Monday – Friday,

9am – 5:30pm,

37.5 hours a week, [all details will be confirmed with the employer]


£355.77 per week / £18,500 per annum.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
