This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person who is looking to start a career with IT. The company is a well established IT support and service company and the role will be based in their Southampton offices as well as visiting clients sites when necessary.
You will be responsible for developing good working relationships with customers whilst supporting their day to day IT issues with desktop computers, servers and networking amongst many other areas within IT. As the IT Support you will also have the opportunity to be involved in various IT projects.
Responsibilities will include:
• Supporting customers via telephone email and face to face
• Writing reports on work performed
• Logging information via our clients helpdesk system
You will be gaining experience in the following:
Microsoft operating systems of all versions (server and desktop), Active Directory, Email Systems, Security, Routers and Firewalls, Networking Infrastructure, Hardware, Microsoft applications used in day to day business, Cloud technologies, IT project planning, printing systems and extensive knowledge of IT systems in general.
An initial knowledge of computers would be an advantage.
A passion for learning
Good written and verbal communication
The ability to build customer relationships
A driving licence and willingness to use own transport is desirable but not essential
