An exciting Microsoft IT Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen with a well-established forward thinking IT Consultancy based in Vauxhall, London SW8 for an enthusiastic person (aged 16-18 to meet government criteria) to join their growing team. In this role, you would earn up to £7,500 per year, whilst learning on the job and gaining industry sought after Microsoft IT certifications.
IT SUPPORT ENGINEER: You will provide 1st and 2nd Line Telephone Helpdesk and Field support to internal and external customers and to ensure Service Targets and Service Levels are met. You will also assist in the implementation of projects or other technical services when requested and visit customer sites and fix support call as required.
Follow standard working practices
Provide Helpdesk technical support to customers
Log, Analyse and fix support cases, escalating as required
Complete a Needs Analysis when necessary
Provide technical recommendations
Regularly update cases on the system
Regularly update customers of case statuses
Build PCs and configure other equipment and software
Install PCs and other equipment and software
Provide User Orientation training
Update the asset database
Write and maintain procedures
Follow assigned procedures
Set up email and user accounts
Liase with 3rd party suppliers
Provide analysis and research for new services when requested
Monitor event logs and server usage
Assist on the implementation of projects and new tech services

Able to work without being chased and willing to go the extra mile to complete a task
Qualified with a minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade C and above) including English and Maths
