An exciting Microsoft IT Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen with a well-established forward thinking IT Consultancy based in Leicester for an enthusiastic person (aged 16-18 to meet government criteria) to join their growing team. In this role, you would earn £150 per week, whilst learning on the job and gaining industry sought after Microsoft IT certifications.
Support Engineer: To work as part of the team and provide IT support to clients. You will work towards Microsoft Certifications.
Day to day duties will include:
Using ticketing / help desk software
Creating new user accounts
Resetting passwords / unlocking accounts
Troubleshooting printing issues
Troubleshooting Internet issues
Using ConnectWise PSA
Technologies you will be working with:
Vista, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows 8
Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2003 and 2013
Server 2003, 2008 both SBS and non-SBS
ArcServe or BackupExec
Key Microsoft Server technologies, eg: Exchange
You will be:

The company is a customer focus IT Support and Consultancy Business, specialising in all aspects of Small Business IT. We provide contracted support to companies ranging in size from 1 employee to several hundred.
The company is growing and the opportunities for the Apprentice are therefore enhanced: the more able and motivated the Apprentice, the greater the opportunity and there are no barriers to progression within the IT team for employees with the relevant skills and professional qualifications.
They are very much looking for you to remain with them once the training modules and Microsoft Apprenticeship have been completed. The company would like to assist in your development so you can work towards gaining a position as a 1st/2nd line support engineer on a permanent basis (subject to satisfactory progression). Over time this may lead into a more senior support role covering support on a 2nd/3rd line basis.
