Estio Training has an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Technician Apprentice with Netpoint Solutions based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.

Advanced Level Apprenticeship
The IT Support Technician will provide first line technical support to the company’s customer base, whilst also working closely with their Operations Director. The role is office-based with hours being 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
Acting as a single point of contact for phone calls, emails and self-service tickets from internal staff regarding IT issues, queries and requests
1st line support – troubleshooting of IT-related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as Phones, Laptops, PCs, thin-clients and Printers
Troubleshoot basic network issues such as internet/intranet or network folder access
Escalating unresolved calls to the relevant support teams
Logging all calls in the Service Desk Call Logging system
Taking ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhering to all service management principles
Publishing support documentation to assist staff with requests for information & provide staff training if required
Basic Active Directory knowledge. Creating user accounts, resetting passwords, creating groups, etc.
Telecoms account management and provisioning
Arrangement of external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in-house

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Netpoint Solutions is a software development company which provides bespoke software solutions to a range of local clients. They are looking for a talented and enthusiastic apprentice to undertake an industrial placement in its Software Development department.
NETPOINT SOLUTIONS LIMITED
The Estio Training programme gives young people the opportunity to get hands on experience in the IT industry whilst still employed in a real paid job with no cost or debt.
Learners will receive ten weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:
Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
PC Fundamentals & Customer Service Skills
Business Processes & Network Fundamentals
Coding & Logic
Networking and Architecture
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
