An exciting Microsoft IT Apprenticeship opportunity has arisen with a fantastic up and coming IT Consultancy based in Sale, Greater Manchester for an energetic and enthusiastic person (aged 16-18 to meet government criteria) to join their growing team.  In this role, you would earn £150 per week, whilst learning on the job and gaining industry sought after Microsoft IT certifications.

 

You should:

Have good knowledge of general IT and networking, with a good understanding of Microsoft systems
Be familiar with taking computers apart and some experience of networking
Have some previous work experience based within a customer orientated environment
IT Support Technician:

To provide 1st line technical support to customers, dealing with queries via the telephone and email
To provide full pro-active support to clients servers, desktops and networks
To be aware of and abide by IT procedures and policies
To maintain a safe working practice, following all health and safety policies and procedures.
To undertake any other relevant duties as may reasonably be requested by the management
You will be:

Able to organise and prioritise constantly changing and sometimes challenging workloads

Able to work without being chased and willing to go the extra mile to complete a task
Able to work in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure
Qualified with a minimum of 5 GCSEs (grade C and above) including English and Maths
You should be willing to learn and have input into projects. You should also have a sense of fun, firmness and fairness. You are likely to be an individual who will naturally be respected by others and the team. You should be willing and able to provide input to processes and projects.

 

The role is packed with variety and will provide the successful candidate with a fantastic foundation of experience across a number of popular technologies.  The company is a highly professional and progressive organisation offering the right individual an opportunity to grow quickly with the business.

 

The company is a Cheshire based IT Services Company supporting all kinds of businesses throughout Cheshire and the UK. As a specialist IT support Company and a Microsoft certified partner, they provide a high quality unique, tailored service designed to fit their clients’ business requirements. Large or small the company is on hand to offload the administrative burden of any IT issues whilst also complimenting their clients’ existing skills and resources.

They are very much looking for you to remain with them once the training modules and Microsoft Apprenticeship have been completed. It is expected that you remain in this role for approximately 18 months, and you would be given more technical queries as the time goes by.  You would therefore move into a more customer focused role as your experience develops.

Please note that full government funding is only available to candidates aged between 16 and 18 years and part funding may be available for those under the age of 24.
