Intequal, in partnership with the Microsoft Apprenticeship Programme, are offering this exciting opportunity to embark on a career as a Tech Sales Support Apprentice.
Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through online learning and practical experience. These qualifications are highly respected and sought after and the skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible chance at starting your professional career in the industry.
The company require a proactive individual with an aptitude for communication and interest in Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Windows.
Quickly assimilating new technologies, being able to apply what is learnt and showing a genuine enthusiasm for the technology are critical to this position’s success.
This role will initially be involved in providing support to the Tech Sales team, learning the company systems and techniques. As your skills develop, you will be required to enhance your product knowledge and develop your own client base eventually.
You will gain an understanding of the products/services provided, the existing customer base, businesses’ needs, how to identify decision makers and how to deliver exceptional customer service when developing and maintaining customer relationships.
You will learn how to effectively respond to queries, getting involved with problem solving and the completion of project work when required.
You will be responsible for researching and distributing industry information to the team, attending conferences, scheduling meetings and preparing quotes/proposals whilst maintaining awareness of technical developments/advancements and knowing when to escalate to the team leader, all the while adhering to processes, keeping systems updated and working effectively within the team.
As a Microsoft IT Apprentice, you will be required to:
Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce the company’s solutions and services and identify appropriate prospects within the target market.
Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
Conduct a needs analysis and determine prospects pain points to determine how the company’s solutions can meet their needs.
Identify key buying influencers within these prospects to determine budget and timeline.
Work with the Director and other Sales & Marketing team members to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
Manage data for new and prospective clients in CRM and any other software tools provided, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.
Prepare and analyse sales pipeline reports and dashboards.
Prepare email, website contents with latest marketing information from Microsoft.
Work with other team members to ensure database is up to date, so that the sales data collectors are identifying the right people.

Qualifications & Skills Required
The company require a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a genuine desire to learn and to build a career within the IT industry. You will have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service. The company are looking for someone with a positive, highly self-motivating, can-do attitude from someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least a C grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT.
You will have excellent communication skills and a brilliant telephone manner and will be punctual, positive, flexible, focused, consistent and will welcome change.
You will appear very professional in your appearance and how you conduct yourself at all times.
You will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to understand business processes and problems and how/when to apply technical solutions.
You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn.
An interest in IT is mandatory!
You will be enrolled onto the Microsoft Technical Sales Apprenticeship and work towards gaining MTA qualifications in Cloud Fundamentals as well as a City & Guilds Level 3 ICT Diploma, gaining an understanding of the sales process, interpersonal communications, planning, making and closing calls, objection handling and meeting objectives. This apprenticeship is delivered remotely using the very latest Microsoft technologies via a live virtual classroom. This apprenticeship teaches the fundamental core sales skills and techniques for anybody looking to kick-start a career in Technical Sales.

Working Hours Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Wage £3.50 per hour
